White Fillings

Non-Metallic Dental Fillings at Alpharetta Comprehensive Dentistry

Tooth-colored dental filling material, or dental composite, is a more popular material today than silver (amalgam) for repairing small to medium-sized areas of tooth decay. Composite dental resin materials are also mercury-free.

Tooth Bonding with Dental Composites

After preparing the tooth, Dr. Minniti will choose a dental composite shade to match your smile, and apply and shape the filling using an adhesive, or bonding procedure. Once in place the composite material is hardened using a special curing light, and polished for a natural-looking result.

While dental composite filling materials are not as durable or stain-resistant as dental porcelain or gold, they are an economical solution for restoring dental cavities in the early stages of decay. Available in a wide range of natural-looking shades, they are also used in cosmetic dental bonding procedures in front teeth to conceal minor chips and defects.

At Alpharetta Comprehensive Dentistry, our goal is to help you achieve the healthy, attractive smile you deserve.
